Specialist event medical cover across the UK
Built for events where the environment changes the risk
Peak Medical and Rescue provides specialist event medical cover for organisers who need more than a standard provider. When terrain, access, extraction and delay become part of the problem, the medical model has to change with it.
Trusted by event organisers across the UK
Proven delivery in demanding environments
Specialist support for organisers who need credible planning, capable field response and a service model built to withstand scrutiny.
Most event medical providers are designed for low-risk environments.
We are built for the opposite.
Specialist provision
When access, extraction and delay become real factors, the model has to change
Peak Medical and Rescue supports organisers of mountain, remote, endurance and technically demanding events where incidents are not defined by treatment alone.
In these environments, response time, casualty movement and extraction are often the limiting factors. The medical model has to be built around that reality.
Specialist event medical cover for: ultra marathons, trail races, mountain events, MTB enduro, adventure events and remote operations where standard event medical models are not designed to perform.
Real-world incident insight
Remote incidents are defined as much by access and extraction as by treatment
Analysis of UK Mountain Rescue incidents linked to organised events shows a consistent pattern. Once a casualty cannot self-evacuate, the incident becomes operational as well as clinical.
Evacuation
In most confirmed race-related incidents involving Mountain Rescue, casualties are not treated and released. They are evacuated.
Delay
Terrain, exposure and access difficulty increase the consequences of waiting for external rescue support.
Consequence
The real question is not event size. It is whether the environment changes what proportionate medical cover should look like.
Capability that works in the field
A model built to function when the environment is the problem
We combine mountain rescue capability, advanced clinical provision, stretcher-capable 4×4 response, resilient communications and governance-led delivery into a single operating model.
That means organisers are not dependent on others to close critical gaps when incidents escalate beyond straightforward access.
Typical pressure points: distributed participants, delayed evacuation, difficult access, variable communications and increased scrutiny where incidents escalate.
Case studies
Proven where the model is actually tested
Real-world delivery across technical terrain, remote courses and complex event footprints where the medical model has to function under pressure.
Featured case study
Bolly Skyline Enduro
Multi-day MTB enduro cover delivered across technical terrain, variable conditions and a demanding event footprint requiring sustained operational capability.
Beacons Ultra
Endurance event support in an exposed environment where participant spread, access constraints and welfare considerations shaped the delivery model.
Stanza Stones Ultra
Remote ultra-distance event requiring careful medical planning for communications, response coordination and participant support over a challenging course.
How we work
A structured route from first conversation to on-event delivery
Effective delivery starts long before the event. The difference is in how the model is built, not just how it is deployed.
01
Understand the event
Terrain, participant profile, format, logistics and credible medical risk.
02
Build the model
A risk-led event medical plan aligned to actual conditions rather than a generic template.
03
Deploy the right resources
Clinicians, vehicles, equipment, communications and command shaped around the event footprint.
04
Review and strengthen
Reporting, incident review and learning to support stronger future delivery.
Client feedback
What clients say
Confidence, professionalism and operational credibility matter most when organisers are responsible for events in more demanding environments.
“
I had at least thirty of the 3 or 400 people that came to our event day say that they were surprised that we’d gone to the n’th degree to get an expert medical company in to keep them in safe hands.
They said that just seeing the ambulance and medic in uniform filled them with confidence that if anything went amiss with themselves or their families, especially their children, they could enjoy the day with greater peace of mind.
Thank you Peak Rescue, you’re a top goalkeeper.

Tim is an excellent instructor, utilising his knowledge, skills and real-world mountain rescue experience as part of the course.
Paul Jay, First Aid Training Participant
“
As an event organiser, I have found Peak Medical and Rescue very professional and helpful at every event they support. They provide peace of mind on events that expose participants to remote and wild places. I would highly recommend them for any major event.
