Immediate response capability across technical terrain — embedded within the event.

The Event

The Bolly Skyline Enduro is a technically demanding, multi-stage mountain bike event set within the Peak District. Riders are exposed to fast descents, remote terrain and high-consequence environments across multiple days.

Events like this require more than just medical presence — they require a team that understands the terrain, the pace of the event, and the expectations of both organisers and participants.

Our Approach

Our focus was simple: be exactly where we needed to be, respond immediately when required, and integrate seamlessly into the event.

Present, Not Reactive

Medics embedded across stages meant we were already there when incidents occurred — not travelling to them.

Calm Under Pressure

Riders and organisers consistently commented on the calm, controlled approach taken in more serious situations.

Part of the Event Team

We worked as part of the event, not alongside it — supporting organisers, stage managers and infrastructure.

What Mattered Most

Feedback from both organisers and participants consistently focused on the same themes — reassurance, professionalism, and the way our team interacted with people during what are often stressful situations.

Injured riders were not just treated — they were supported, reassured and managed in a way that reflected the seriousness of the situation while maintaining calm and control.

Organisers valued the fact that they did not need to manage the medical provision. They had confidence that it was being handled properly, allowing them to focus on delivering the event itself.

Adapting in Real Time

Like any complex event, plans evolved throughout the weekend. Our team adapted continuously — adjusting positioning, managing peak demand at the hub, and extending cover where required.

This flexibility ensured that medical provision remained aligned with the reality of the event, not just the plan on paper.

Why Peak Medical and Rescue

The organisers chose Peak Medical and Rescue because the event required more than conventional provision. It required a team able to operate confidently in technical terrain, integrate closely with the event operation, and deliver calm, credible care under pressure.

Our approach combined operational capability with structured clinical governance, giving organisers confidence that medical provision would be effective, responsive and professionally delivered throughout the weekend.
