As 2025 draws to a close, Peak Medical and Rescue reflects on a packed calendar of endurance, adventure, and community events across the UK. From the wild uplands of Yorkshire to the rocky ridges of Snowdonia and the rolling hills of the Peak District, our medics and rescue specialists have kept competitors safe, supported, and smiling.
Stanza Stones Ultra – A Stormy Start to the Season
The year began with the Stanza Stones Ultra, a true test of grit and resilience across Yorkshire’s moorlands. Challenging conditions of wind, rain, and boggy terrain didn’t deter runners! Our medical team provided comprehensive coverage across checkpoints and key access points along the route.

Skyrun Eryri – Technical Terrain, Expert Cover
Spring took us to the mountains of North Wales for the Skyrun Eryri, supporting both the Skyrace and Ultra distances. With exposed ridges, long hours on the hill, and unpredictable mountain weather, the event showcased our integrated medical-rescue model. Working closely with organisers, we provided rapid, skilled interventions that helped keep the race flowing safely.
Wincle Beer Festival – Medical Cover with a Smile
Switching from fell tops to festival fields, we delivered medical support at the Wincle Beer Festival. Community spirit, excellent local brews, and live music made for a vibrant event. While a different kind of challenge to ultra running, it underlined the same principles of a reassuring presence for organisers and participants alike.
Bolly Skyline, Questars, and Focus Rides Enduro – A Summer of Speed
The Bolly Skyline Enduro saw us return to the Peak District’s technical trails, providing full on-course medical cover for a great weekend of high-speed downhill mountain biking. From there, we supported the Questars Adventure Race, a multi-discipline challenge combining mountain biking, trail running, and kayaking.
In early autumn, the Focus Rides Peak District Enduro rounded off the summer with 170 riders tackling multiple downhill stages in a mash-up format. Our medical team responded and ensured a safe, well-managed event from first light to final podium.

Cheshire 3 Peaks Half – Scenic Running, Local Spirit
As autumn arrived, we joined the Cheshire 3 Peaks Half Marathon, a fantastic local race drawing runners from across the region. With its friendly atmosphere and great views, it was a reminder of why community-driven events form the backbone of our season calendar.
Looking Ahead – Winter Stanza Stones & Beacons Ultra
The year isn’t over yet. We’re preparing for the Winter Stanza Stones Ultra, where cold winds and early darkness add an extra layer of challenge. Followed by the Beacons Ultra in South Wales – an event renowned for its demanding terrain and breathtaking scenery.
Thank You to Our Team and Partners
We’d like to thank every medic, clinician, and rescue specialist who has pulled on the Peak MR jacket this year. Additionally the organisers who trust us to deliver safe, reliable cover in some of the UK’s toughest environments.
From moorland ultras to beer festivals, our mission remains the same. To provide professional, compassionate medical and rescue support – wherever the trail leads.
Here’s to finishing 2025 strong, and to an even bigger year of adventure ahead.
